Fiat Punto Abarth Evo was speculated a lot for Indian shores but was seem to be in the waiting hall for quite a long time. As of now, the wait tends to be getting over soon.

To make the existing range more lucrative, this Italian carmaker had got serious about Indian market and to prove its mettle a large number of line-up is scheduled for us in near future, while Jeep is a good example of such argument.

Team BHP has spotted Fiat Punto Abarth Evo EsseEsse in Coimbatore which explains all the clutter in simpler form and that is ‘may soon launch in near future’.

The Fiat Punto Abarth Evo is basically a two door hatch which can be termed India’s first if launch successfully by the end of this year, and of course we need some cool yet unique sort of competition for knocking down Ford EcoSport and its upcoming likes. But to our disappointment, this two-door typo doesn’t stand strong for our market because of various stupid tax policies by our government and also the lack of demand due to those soared figures on extended dimensions.

However, it is very much clear from the spy-shot that Evo and EsseEsse moniker defines powerful version of the model-plate on comparison with Abarth Evo and Punto Abarth. The 1.4 liter Fiat T-Jet petrol mill will be assimilated with 6-speed manual transmission to make a cool 0-96 kmph in 7.5 seconds under the top catch of 210 kmph. Its 180 brake horsepower is more beefy than the 165 bhp to that in Evo.

We also expect EsseEsse to load four-doors (instead of two), Brembo brakes, Koni dampers and revised Abarth spring on itself for following a CBU route instead of CKD.
