Hyundai Xcent Receives 100,000 Enquiries & 11,000 Bookings in 30 days

Hyundai Xcent was on the counts of automotive buffs since days the Swift Dzire was launched with a revamp and a shorter boot. Filling the model till core, the Xcent remains as an example of Hyundai’s mediocre of feature loaded strategy. It is based on the same Grand i10 platform which is extended slightly. Now, the Xcent is an immediate rival to Honda Amaze too, it seems to have overwhelmed the makers with the responses and sales numbers, received 11,000 bookings in 30 days of launch, and more than 100,000 enquiries generated.

Xcent has remained a good seller amidst the young families in metros as well as Tier II cities.

Powered by 2nd generation U2 CRDi diesel engine, which is combination of optimum performance along with high fuel efficiency, Xcent diesel delivers mileage of 24.4 kmpl (as per ARAI). The stress less acceleration throughout the city and highway has remained the engine’s exclusivity till date. The linear power delivery and flat torque spread over wide range of rpm’s ensure smooth and jerk free drive. On the flipside, the petrol buyers gets an all-aluminum 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine that comes with Dual VTVT mechanism for reaching optimum engine performance with best-in-class mileage of 19.1 kmpl (ARAI figure).

Hyundai Xcent also boasts number of first in-segment features, namely rear A/C vents, integrated 2-DIN MP3 audio with in-built 1GB memory, diamond cut alloy wheels, unique 2 tone design along with smart key with push button start and stop, bluetooth connectivity, multifunction steering wheel with bluetooth, audio and trip meter controls, auto folding ORVMs with electric adjustment function, rear parking sensors, turn indicators on outside mirrors and cooled gloved box.

The Xcent comes at a starting price of Rs 4.66 lakh for petrol variant, and Rs 5.56 lakh for diesel variant, ex-showroom Delhi.
