India’s auto parts industry is attracting heavy online traffic, a report by one of India’s leading online B2B marketplaces called IndiaMART.com revealed.

The report titled “The Automotive Components Sector” revealed that that the automotive sector is one of the top three sectors on IndiaMART.com site terms of unique visits by potential buyers.

According to the report, the U.S. is one of the leading countries in terms of the number of its buyers visiting the site’s automotive category for their sourcing requirements. U.S. buyers visiting the site’s automotive category account for 12.8 per cent of the total buyers.

The site’s automotive sector category attracts buyers from developing as well as developed countries. Asian countries Pakistan, China, Malaysia and Bangladesh account for 8.2 per cent, 7.6 per cent, 7.3 per cent and 7.2 per cent of buyers visiting the site’s automotive sector category respectively.

The UK, Canada, Germany and Australia account for 6.8 per cent, 6.5 per cent, 6.4 per cent and 6.3 per cent of the total buyers, respectively.

IndiaMART.com, which acts as a B2B matchmaking platform for suppliers, claims that more than one million SMEs from diverse sectors, ranging from auto components to apparel & fashion accessories, are registered with the site.
