Mahindra Reva e2o was readied for quite a long time but was delayed due to some uncertainties. It is cited that carmaker was waiting for the Union Budget to be announced because in last year’s financial planning our government had granted subsidies to EV segment, but so of this year they are now deprived off.

Lest of all the rumors, Mahindra had just now said that Reva e2o is confirmed for 18th March 2013. We are very much excited about the newbie because it is the first electronic automobile from Indian fraternity. However it had already won many accolades abroad, but we just have to know how the Indians will perceive this type of new commuting solution.

Commenting on this overwhelming opportunity, Dr Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd says, “The Mahindra e2o is the next generation global electric vehicle built on the capability of using the futuristic ecosystem of Sun2Car to derive energy from the Sun for urban mobility.”

He too added that, “The car will use next generation Lithium Ion batteries and will have a range of 100 kms on a full charge, which is suitable for most urban commuters today.”

Conveniently, e2o uses 15 amp plug point for charging which is easily accessible in our homes and offices.
