Mahindra S101 Spied Under Heavy Camouflage

We have been already informed via automotive magazines and all the other sources that Mahindra is planning a new compact SUV, aspiring to be standing frugal in the industry’s eye-catching trend. To be true, for proving the mettle, various spy shots have also surfaced on internet giving in a clear picture of the upcoming derivations being heavily worked upon. But now we are given in a note that, Indian automaker had kept heavy guards around the new bug and is also not allowed to take a stroll even in the neighborhood. Exceeding even these many limitations of the makers, S101, as what it is called internally, is spied once again under thick camouflage in South of India, just exactly outside the R&D centre of Chennai.

What to speculate under such thick layer of covering is still not retarded into our head, but still we can make out from the sneaky-peaky leaks that, length is confirmed at sub four meters, spare wheel maybe mounted on tail gate to save inches of space inside, and very importantly the headlamps to sit in similar positions like that of its elder siblings, straight and upright. Talking about the flesh portion, launch is not going to happen sooner than 2016 because many of the things are there to dig deeper into it.

Mahindra S101 Spied Under Heavy Camouflage
On the other hand Ford EcoSport is burning midnight oil to gain as much fanfare as possible, as the launch is slated nearby, and on seeing this much efforts from Americans stable, Mahindra may have started pumping in the rod to flush out maximum outputs in minimum time, eyeing most of the shares in horizon, as it is always used to be leader in every of them till date.

We don’t know how, but our sixth sense says, engine to be driven from the Quanto, producing a good 100PS with more refinements on inside the cabin noise, and tractions to be figured out through the front wheels; which maybe coughed up by all wheel drive (AWD) system at a later stage.

Hence, this much is enough for now, but we think there is a whole lot coming at a near future, so stay glued!
