Mahindra Thar Prices Increased By Rs 92,000: Mahindra Cars Price Hike Announced Across All Models

Mahindra has hiked the price of their entire model line-up again. This is the third price hike from the Pune based vehicle manufacturer this year, and this latest price revision will be effective from July 2021 onwards.

Despite the recent price hike, it is the slower-moving models like the Alturas G4, and KUV 100 that are least affected by the revised pricing, as the prices for each have gone up by just Rs 3,356 and Rs 3,068, respectively.

The soon-to-be-replaced XUV 500 also joins this league with an almost similar price hike of almost Rs 2,670.

However, this is not the case with models like Bolero, Marazzo, Scorpio and XUV300. These above-mentioned models have received a price hike of around 2-3 per cent from the recently announced price revision.

The rural sales champ, Bolero’s prices have gone up by almost Rs 22,500, while the more premium people carrier, Marazzo received a price hike around Rs 26,597- Rs 30,867. The price of Scorpio has also gone up by almost 2 per cent, with a price hike of Rs 27,211- Rs 37,395.

The XUV300 price hike is the most confusing, with some variants receiving a minor price hike of Rs 3,606, while some other variants saw a price hike up to Rs 24,029.

However, the biggest price hike was received by Mahindra’s most in-demand vehicle, the second-generation Thar, and received a price hike around Rs 32,000- Rs 92,000 depending on the variant.

Mahindra becomes the latest auto manufacturer to announce a price hike in India. The Thar is currently the Indian automotive giant’s most in-demand vehicle. However, the price hike issued by the brand on the off-road is substantial and could affect its sales in the country.
