Indian automobile giant Mahindra & Mahindra today declared that it has received an overwhelming 25,000+ applications from consumers for its newly launched XUV500 SUV. The second phase of bookings had started on 25th January across 19 cities in India. The response to the XUV500 was even better this time around than the response received when the car was launched. That time more than 8000 bookings were received by the company across five cities in just 10 days.

During the launch of the second phase of booking Mahindra had made it clear that if the number of bookings exceed 7200, the company will conduct a fair and transparent draw. The draw will also allow the customers selected in the draw a fair waiting period.
