In the run of diesel, there are end number of car badges which had flooded our fraternity, but solely it was the Maruti Alto who had stayed back and was easily cashing on the petrol variants, and even making to the top three slot of the most sold vehicles in the world.

Here our friends at Motoroids had just now broken the story and gave us the news that, Alto 800 too is soon going to see the diesel engine, where the carmaker had already placed the order of small fuel injectors with the Bosch, and is lining up other works too for making its most awaited come true.

Terming the competition on the direct grounds, there would be no one except than the Tata Nano diesel to give Maruti a strong blow in the low capacity oil burners. And most probably the diesel engine of Alto would be of the 800cc itself. It will be developed in-house by Indian carmaker, with some of the guidance taken from Japanese engineers, which may open the gates for many of the possibilities like that of the signatures namely WagonR and A-Star. And further, if the lead of diesel would run successfully then would take on the Hyundai i10 and Chevrolet Beat for some toiling numbers at its near future.

Hence, completing all the new directives in the right inclination, it would be ‘2014’ when the organization may reach the final clot of striking chord. Till then, one still has wait for some more tenures now, which getting his hands on this vehicle had already awaited him most of the years, we know.
