A brand new Maserati Quattroporte caught fire, and was burned to ground, in Azerbaijan over the weekend. The incident happened on Saturday in the capital city of Baku.

The four-door sedan of Maserati was owned by Rufat Abdullayev, a Baku resident, which perhaps is a Maserati Quattroporte GTS, one of the only new Quattroporte’s in Azerbaijan.

It is almost impossible to tell where the fire started and what the cause behind it was. Streaming out details from the images, it seems feasible the Maserati Quattroporte had fallen either to an arson strike or a mechanical fault. The completely burnt vehicle and scarce source of news deprived us from lending any of the sneak peeks behind the accident.
