Mitsubishi’s fiasco cannot be understood to the ultimate, for which direction it actually desires to lead. Now, to bow down at Paris Motor Show, company officially revealed of bringing Outlander PHEV Concept-S to the light.
It isn’t quite confirmed what this S would stand for, because back in 2012 Mitsubishi Motors Corporation rolled in the Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid without the ‘S’ badge.
As per to Mitsubishi’s official letter, the S stands for Sport and Sophistications, which is stated to be clearly defined at the Motor Show itself.
Under bonnet, PHEV’s 2.0L four-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor of 200bhp shall be carried over. Appropriately, the SUV in hybrid form was made to function in conjunction with two electric motors.
The official data of automaker defines, top speed of PHEV was clocked at 106mph, and 0-62mph sprint was grossed in 11.0 seconds.
Hence, it will be interesting to see how the production lineups are going to be benefitted from this new concept.
