New Hyundai i20 spotted near its Chennai plant

Wait for the new Hyundai i20 may soon be over as the car might be launched very soon. The new Hyundai i20 was recently spotted in Sriperambadur, while it was undergoing some tests. Hyundai is planning to bring the new i20 this March at the 2012 Geneva motor show and probably by the middle of this March it will be launched in India. One doesn’t have to worry about the deliveries since Hyundai always dispatches the cars to the dealers before their launch.

The new fluidic Hyundai i20 is rich with features. It is loaded with power, features and styles. The car will target the B+ hatchback segment. Fuel consumption of the new i20 on the highway will be 17kmpl and within the city will be 14kmpl. With the new i20, Hyundai will be going for smart styling, very spacious interiors and power packed features.

The new Hyundai i20 will be powered by a petrol engine with a displacement of 1197cc. Maximum power of the engine will be 79Bhp @5200rpm and maximum torque will be 114Nm @ 4000 rpm. The car will seat 5-passengers. The new i20, in all likelihood, will come with 195/60/15 tyres and will also have power steering, front and rear disc brakes and a 45 liter fuel tank.

The facelift also showcases that it has LED lights and alloy wheels. Hyundai is regularly testing its new model of i20, but there are not much technical changes that have been made to the car, so it can be assumed that they are testing it for fuel efficiency. Those who have already ordered the new Hyundai i20, will have to wait a little more. Although the price of this car is high, having the car is worth the money as many have called this the “dream car”.

The new Hyundai i10 is also in the development stage. So in the times to come Hyundai might just be bringing in a revolution in the car market that will surely give its competitors some sleepless nights.
