Nissan India September 2012 Sales Zooms by 64.24 %

Car manufacturer Nissan Motor India Private Ltd (NMIPL) recorded an increase of 64.25% in its domestic sales, which stood at 3574 units during the last month (September 2012), as against 2176 units in 2011.

Nissan’s Chennai made vehicles comprising the Sunny sedan and Micra compact hatchback carried on their sturdy recital filing cumulative sales of 3567 during the last month (September 2012).

Whilst Nissan third home grown vehicle, the bran new multi-utility Evalia, also made a quick beginning accompanying its sales launch just few days back, already filing 160 bookings.

The cult sports car 370Z, Teana luxury sedan as well as X-Trail sport utility vehicle consisted of the resting sales of what was yet another victorious sales period for the company in the Indian market.

While talking about the performance, Mr. Ishida Takayuki, NMIPL Managing Director stated that they’re going forward to witness a growing demand for Sunny and Micra with both cars now confidently placed within their personal sections.

Mr. Ishida Takayuki added that with the introduction of Evalia, they are giving their promise to swell their array in the Indian market and provide their clients even better choice.

He also said that their fortifying model choice, backed by a healthy client value proposition, entails they’re sure Nissan Motor India Private Ltd will have the benefit of another highly winning year in the country.

Mr. NitishTipnis, Director-Marketing & Sales, Hover Automotive India (HAI), Nissan’s sole and exclusive distributor in India, stated that Evalia is completely in harmony with clients who wish an easy long drive with their instant and complete families, in addition to having the suppleness to hold the demands of urban motoring without difficulty.

The brand new Nissan Evalia is catered by the internationally confirmed K9K straight-4 turbocharged diesel from Renault Nissan’s engine family that can produce 85 PS of power @ 3750 revolutions per minute and a highest torque of 200 Nm @ 2000 rpm. With a quiet-shifting five pace manual transmission, the vehicle delivers a fuel competence of around 19.3 kilometers per litre of diesel (ARAI certified), approximately 50% superior as compared to its nearest class opponent.
