Nissan Resonance grabs Best Concept Vehicle award

Japanese auto maker Nissan has revealed its Nissan Resonance SUV concept at 2013 at North American International Auto Show is now selected as the winner of the Eyes On Design award for the best concept vehicle. The announcement for the award was made at the NAIAS 2013 Eyes On Award ceremony on January 15th.

Reputed as one of the foremost award for the automotive design, Eyes On Design Awards honors the best concept and production cars that made their way to the NAIAS. In the 17 year of the history of awards, it has always recognized the skills and innovations of the most talented designers in the areas of creativity and aesthetics, and most importantly the functionality of the design. Winners are selected by a panel of esteemed juries.

The Resonance Concept was made under the supervision of Shiro Nakamura, Senior VP and Chief Creative officer at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. The vehicle boasts of open airy structure that is highlighted by the amazing floating roof created by using steeply raked and thin A pillars, long full length glass panels and a possess floating D pillar design. The interior has been constructed as reference to the future’s first class space travel.

The AWD Resonance Concept also houses an efficient, hybrid-electric drivetrain that boasts of Nissan one motor and two clutch system that brought together smaller displacement IC petrol engine with an electric motor power by lithium ion battery.
