Skoda’s British division has introduced the high on style limited edition version of the Yeti compact SUV, christened the Yeti Urban.
The Czech manufacturer triumphs its success in UK with the Skoda Yeti Urban featuring Rs 1.18 lacs worth of extra features compared to the SE model on which it is based, that come without shedding extra money.
Moreover, the Skoda Yeti Urban is intended for the younger customers, and it can be made out from the distinguished styling, which includes 17-inch black and chrome ‘Matterhorn’ alloy wheels, pronounced wheel arches, chrome side strips, silver door RVM caps, silver roof rails and roof stripes.
On the inside, this spectacular sport-ute offers a choice of either red or black sports seats, while ‘sunset’ glass is features on its rear. The car’s exterior can be had in Black Magic pearl effect, Candy White, Brilliant Silver metallic and Steel Grey metallic, interestingly, at no extra cost for metallic paint.
Speaking of Technology, the Skoda Yeti Urban features DAB digital radio, which is featured first time in UK market as standard. In addition, there is an Amundsen+ sat-nav system, Bluetooth connectivity and a multi-function steering wheel to control the audio system and phone.
Coming as two-wheel-drive with manual transmission only, the SUV will be offered with a choice of two power plant choices. The petrol trim is a 1.2-litre TSI that pumps out 104bhp with a fuel economy figure of 44.1mpg and emission figure of CO2 as 149g/km. While the diesel variant is a 2.0-litre TDI CR that develops 109bhp and has a fuel economy figure of 52.3mpg and CO2 emissions figure of 140g/km. However, in India we get a more powerful 140 bhp version.
Hitting the showroom from next month, the petrol variant costs £16,900 and the diesel £18,330. There is no word on an Indian variant yet; however, this Skoda Yeti is a bargain with all those features that come with no extra cost.
