Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept (Crossover) Unveiled at 2014 Detroit Motor Show

Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept is exactly an ‘Audi crossover’ underneath the skin, measuring 4.2meters in length with two-doors. It is designed not only to cover the sophisticatedly coveted tarmacs of city, but also to go off the beaten track with the drivetrain of 2.0L TFSI badge paired with couple of electric motors and 6-speed dual-clutch e-S tronic transmission. It produces mind-wobbling power of 408 hp and 650 Nm of torque reaching 0-100kmph in 4.6 seconds and standing on top with speed of 250kmph. That’s not all; the Ingolstadt based carmaker claimed it to deliver the astonishing fuel-efficiency of “52.63 km/l”.

It is revealed, the car can be run completely on electric power too, grossing only 50kms on the electric charge, while the overall range is concluded to be the 820kms when combined. Hopefully, famous for the Quattro, Audi Allroad shooting brake concept runs on front wheel traction but switches to Quattro when detects wheel slip.

It remains unknown whether this concept is going to head towards the production or not, but it is for sure that Audi will further design its cars based on the crossover concept using only aluminium and CFRP (Carbon fiber reinforced polymer on the outer.
