Over couple of years, well-known automobile manufacturing companies have joined hands with Hollywood and Bollywood films for promoting their vehicles in a large way. In recent years, plenty of popular movies have used plethora of cars while shooting actions sequences and during entry of protagonist in the film. The recently released movies, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol and Don 2 served as great mediums for endorsing the cars produced and introduced by various automotive industry leaders. Huge automakers planned to increase the visibility of their products through large banner movie Don 2 and the movie has contributed vastly in promoting cars such as Alfa Romeo MiTo, 2012 Hyundai Sonata, BMW 5 Series and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, which was released sometime back featured BMW models such as 2014 BMW i8, an upcoming plug-in hybrid super car along with currently introduced 2012 BMW 6 Series Cabriolet. In addition, BMW has come up with marketing campaign called Mission to Drive, which is based on MI theme. The forthcoming Bollywood movie, Players will endorse vehicles like redesigned Chrysler 300C Stretch Limousine, Mini Cooper and Mazda MX5. Famous films including Robot, Singham and Shivaji highlighted Scorpio, the best selling model of Mahindra in best possible manner using inconceivable stunts. The Dhoom 3 will be showcasing models such as Nissan 370Z, Koenigsegg CCX and Chevrolet Camaro. Consequently, automobile manufacturing firms have banked on films for gaining recognition and maximum publicity for their products much before these mean and might machine are actually introduced.
