The new Fiesta will hit Indian auto market by 14th July in Delhi. The price of the model and variant details will also be given out on that day itself. The Fiesta is one of the anticipated launches this year in the compact sedan category. The launch of this model will also reveal Ford’s pricing strategy for countering the high sales momentum that the new Verna from Hyundai has been able to capture in the last two months.

The new Fluidic Verna already leads this segment, having sold 4,102 models already since its launch in June. The launch of the Fiesta will reveal the company’s pricing strategy as well as if they have decided to load the Fiesta with many features, an approach that Hyundai opted for, with the new Verna.

Industry experts project the new Fiesta to be priced in the range of INR 8 to 11 lakhs, however, the accuracy of this projection will only be revealed during the launch of this model.

Ford had showcased the Fiesta a few months back to media personnel, but did not reveal its pricing details. This model will be available in both diesel and petrol engines. The petrol powered variant will receive the 1.5l petrol engine equipped with TiVCT that will make it capable of delivering a max power of 109bhp and a peak torque of 140Nm, and is paired wit a manual 5 speed gear box.

The diesel powered Fiesta will receive a 1.5l diesel engine that is capable of delivering a max power of 89.9bhp, and a peak torque of 204Nm. This engine is also paired with a manual 5 speed gear box, with a cruise control feature that functions only during the 5th gear.
