It was in 2012, Maruti Suzuki launched its multipurpose vehicle in the Indian market – the Ertiga; since then the vehicle has been competing with a lot of models in the same category including Renault Lodgy and Honda Mobilio. The redesigned Ertiga has been on the cards for some time and now, and you will be able to see at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show.

That’s right…the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be launched on 20th August and will feature a lot of enhancements. For beginners, the Ertiga will have an all-new front grille, electrically foldable outside rearview mirrors, foglamp housings, slightly redesigned taillights, in addition to some chrome additions to give a premium feel. The interior has been redesigned too with some additional features such as steering wheel mounted phone controls and start/stop functionality.

One of the biggest changes in 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the Auto Gear Shift, and the automaker has said it time and again that they want to have a vehicle with Auto Gear Shift in all segments. Currently, Maruti Celerio and Alto K10 feature this options, and now Ertiga will have this transmission. Interesting, isn’t it?

The engine options remain the same for Maruti Suzuki Ertiga – the 1.4 liter petrol produces 94bhp of power with 130 newton meters of torque, while Multijet 1.3 liter diesel will churn out 89bhp of power with 200 newton meters. Both powerplants will be paired with 5-speed manual transmission. The redesigned Ertiga is expected to be priced between Rs. 5.82 lakhs to Rs. 8.6 lakhs.
