This new hatchback, the Renault Pulse had been first showcased during the weekend of the Formula I races that had been held at the Buddh International Circuit at Greater Noida near Delhi. During that event, the car maker from France had announced that the car would be launched in January. Renault has finally announced that this much awaited car is going to be officially launched on the 6th of January at the Delhi Auto Expo. The Renault Pulse has been designed using the V-platform that has been developed jointly through the alliance of Renault and Nissan. Other cars that have been based on this platform include the Nissan Sunny and Micra.
The Renault Pulse gets its power from the economical and reliable diesel engine, the K9K. This engine has also been used by the Logan, which is now known as the Verito, the Micra as well as the Sunny diesel variant, which has been recently launched. The Renault Pulse launch will make the French auto maker make its first advent into the high volume Indian auto market. The latest Renault hatchback is expected to be kept at a slightly higher pricing than the Nissan Micra. Both the Renault Pulse as well as the Nissan Micra share a lot of common factors including the platform in which both of them have been developed as well as its engine and some other features. The cars also look very similar to each other.
