Renault India recently announced that it will be launching the Captur in India before the end of 2017. In Renault’s words, the Captur is a premium SUV with a strong crossover DNA. The Captur is already on sale in international markets and is one of the highest selling crossovers in Europe.
The Captur is expected to share its powertrain with the Duster as well and will be offered with the same 1.5-litre petrol engine and the 1.5-litre K9K diesel motor. While neither an automatic nor a 4×4 version is expected at launch, they will probably join the range at a later date. Renault’s SUV will come with full-LED headlamps flanked by LED daytime running lights.
The crossover’s interior will feature a dual-tone theme and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with media navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. Renault India will also offer various customisation options like a contrast roof.
