Suzuki Unveils Two New Concept Models

Suzuki recently unveiled two new concepts which are based on their newest Kizashi saloon car. The first of these is called the EcoCharge, which illustrates the company’s worldwide eco-mobility story, and also accentuates their efforts in providing socially conscious manufacturing. The new EcoCharge is their hybrid saloon car concept which boasts of added styling.

It is powered by a four cylinder 2.0 liter petrol engine which delivers an added 15kW motor and a power of 115 volts, through its lithium-ion, air cooled battery. According to the company, this combination is great for an increase of 25 per cent over the base version’s fuel economy. This increase in fuel economy is achieved by  its new hybrid powertrain along with its new Stop/Start feature, resistance low-rolling tires and regenerative braking.

The second Kizashi concept is the Apex. Suzuki is also known for manufacturing high performance bikes, apart from its SUVs and cars. With the Apex, Kizashi hopes to further narrow down the gap. The Apex is powered by a four cylinder, 2.4 liter engine, which takes help from the air-to-liquid intercooler, Garret turbocharger, recalibrated ECU and an electronic boost control.

This engine, when paired with its manual six speed transmission generates a projected 275 to 3000 bhp. According to the company, this will be the car’s only transmission choice offered, when it goes into production. The livery of the Apex concept is very similar to that of the GSX-R bike series. Some of the additional features are 19” wheels, Alacantara inserts and 245 size Yokohama tires.
