Tata Motors has quietly launched the Tata Tiago NRG petrol AMT hatchback at Rs.6.15 lakhs. The Tiago NRG was initially launched last year in September with 1.2-liter petrol or 1.02-liter diesel with both mated to a manual gearbox. Now a new AMT transmission will be offered with the petrol variant.
The NRG is a rugged version of the standard Tiago with faux skid plates, body cladding, higher ground clearance and roof rails. It also gets 14-inch steel rims with wheel covers, reflector headlights, power adjusted steering wheels, height-adjustable driver’s seat and power adjustable wing mirrors. On the inside it gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It replaces the older 5.0-inch screen.
