Audi RS7, the sportsback of Ingolstadt based carmaker from Germany received a mild facelift.
Front grille is reworked with a slightly more structured bumper, bringing it in line with the new Audi A7 that was revealed a week back.
However, the LED headlamps are also faced with the changes, were made it darker to be suitably differentiated than that of the existing version. Matrix headlamps will be optional on the new RS7.
Other cosmetics sweeps new enclosure for tail lamps, as well as the 20-inch wheels got redesigned.
Moving inside, the interiors were given the new feel with the modified instruments cluster, shift paddles and altered controls for the air vents. Paving way for the new technologies always, the optional MMI (Multi Media Interface) Plus infotainment system receives an update, where in terms of a faster Nvidia graphics processor for faster operation.
Under hoods, it continues to run the same turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 direct injection petrol engine as before in the same state of tune of 552bhp.
Traction is provided to all the wheels via a standard eight speed automatic gearbox via Audi’s Torsen torque sensing four wheel drive system. The timing too remains intact, with recording of 0-100kph in just 3.9sec, and the top speed of 255kmph remained restricted to keep in control, which can be notched to 280kph or 305kph with due to optional “Dynamic” package for going insane.
Audi RS7 dynamic edition debuts at 2014 New York International Auto Show. Its arrival in showrooms of US will happen by early summer. MSRP including destination and delivery is $146,045.

On exterior, the Audi RS7 dynamic edition received Tornado Red brake calipers with RS7 logo and 21-inch Gloss Black wheels. Other sides included of carbon fiber splitter, diffuser and carbon fiber engine cover. Customers can choose from four exterior colors: Ibis White, Suzuka Gray metallic, Daytona Gray pearl, Phantom Black pearl.
The Audi exclusive RS7 dynamic edition combines performance with a DRC suspension that “utilizes three-stage adjustable dampers that are hydraulically cross-linked and integrated into the Audi drive select system along with the standard rear sport differential for maximum performance driving.”
On interiors, the Black Valcona leather seats are meshed with the RS specific honeycomb stitch in Crimson Red, matching the safety belts of the same color. Those same stitches can also be found running across dashboard, gear shifter boot, center and door armrests along with the center console. The Crimson Red accents are merged with the carbon fiber inlays that were amplifying the character of the car inside cabin thoroughly.
The power to the Audi’s five-door coupe comes from a twin-turbo 4.0 Liter TFSI V8 engine, producing 560 hp making it to zip 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
Audi has barged onto the new segment with the 2014, and has launched RS7 Sportback in India for Rs. 12,856,000 ex-showroom Mumbai.
The RS7 is a five-door coupe with the feature of a true-blue sportscar. Powered by a 4.0L V8 TFSI (petrol) 560hp and 700Nm of torque, owners can take advantage of the ‘cylinders on demand’ technology and can reduce the carbon footprints and can improve the fuel-efficiency as well.
To the excitement, Bollywood actor Salman Khan is the first owner of car, and present Audi India Head Mr. Joe King handed its key to him at the launch venue.
Audi RS7 Sportback is powered enough to reach 0-100kmph in 3.9 seconds claiming a top speed of 305kmph at its best.
Audi now has got two vehicles in its RS (performance-oriented) series in India: RS7 & RS5.
