Rolls Royce has launched the Cullinan in India at Rs.6.95 crore. The Cullinan shares its platform with the Phantom and has large dimensions. On the outside, the Cullinan gets a chrome grille, rectangular LED headlights, large air intakes, signature suicide doors, 22-inch alloy wheels and dual exhaust ports.
Rolls Royce has taken the wraps off its new Rolls Royce Cullinan SUV. According to Rolls Royce, the new Cullinan combines off-roading capabilities with high-end luxury. The Cullinan borrows its design features from the Rolls Royce Phantom.
Rolls Royce Phantom has got a new edition. This time it comes with the Nautica badge. Inspired by a yacht, the Phantom Nautica has some pretty cool things going about it. Let’s take a look at them.
The very first thing one notices in the Phantom Nautica is its two tone color scheme – orchid white and Arabian blue to match the colors of the seawater. Lower half of the car i.e. the doors and fenders have been painted in white, while the upper half i.e. bonnet, roof and the boot lid gets the blue tone. The only exception to this color theme is the 10-spoke wheels which have been painted in the Arabian Blue color. The seafaring theme is further accentuated by the double pin stripe just below the shoulder of the car and the anchor shaped insignias.
On the inside, the Phantom Nautica gets Tudor Oak Veneer on the dash along with white dials and white and blue leather to match the colors on the outside of the car. Power source of the Phantom Nautica remains same with the 6.75-liter 453bhp V12 engine. Power to the wheels is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show will be Rolls Royce’s stage for showing off its bespoke specialties, but the Phantom Nautica might not make it there.
The hype of a new Roll-Royce car always touches the roof. And by roof, we literally mean it!
‘Dawn’ of Rolls-Royce said to debut by 2016 is actually a drophead coupe of Wraith. But for some marketing purposes, the maker has changed it for a new model plate, seemed taken the Wraith to chop off the ‘roof’ to convert it into a Dawn.
Here, for the first time we have spotted the car with its soft top clearly. The remaining body is heavily covered under the camouflages. But it was an exciting sight to see Dawn with the roof on, which is the only USP of this model against its hard-top sibling.
However, nothing is going to change in the engine bay exceptionally. One can still find Dawn with that 6.6-litre V12 backed by twin-turbo sending the max power of 624bhp and 800Nm of peak torque, where 0-100 km/h is touched in 4.6 seconds, a shade slower than Wraith due to the soft top and added weight to chassis.
More thought of our source on this revealed, car is ready and set for the launch; it’s the final test going on before hitting the dealerships. Some top notch had seen it at the preview across 2015 Rolls-Royce World Dealer Conference in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Well, if not proven wrong, then Rolls-Royce Dawn may attract the starting price tag of €245,000 as soon as it will enter the Europe followed by preview at Frankfurt Motor Show 2015.
To gain maximum attention under the limelight of Shanghai Auto Show, Rolls-Royce has unveiled the Limelight Collection to highlight the bespoke personalization option.
Based on the extended wheelbase version of Phantom, the Limelight collection comes draped in blue shade with a tint of purple. The white coach line contrasts the entire theme very elusively. The 21-inch rims further demonstrate the RR’s message of devotion to customization.
Reportedly, most changes lie inside the cabin than on outside. The seats in white gets diamond embroidery where the same design is also carried over on the door panels. Other elements are contrasted in the dark blue shade with white stitches running across.
Hence, likewise to other special models no changes made under the bonnet. A 6.75-litre V12 engine of 453bhp and 719Nm of torque continue to do the job after mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.
Rolls-Royce crossover named Cullinan that received nod for the production from officials a month back is now reported of undergoing the tests soon. As per the pictures sent out officially by the company, it is the Phantom Series II shortened and deployed with a rear wing. The prototype is created to study the design of crossover with regards to its ride and handling based on the new dynamics.
Reportedly, the testing of Cullinan will commence soon, which apparently means the spy-shots are on the brink of arriving in the coming weeks. Engineers are developing new suspensions that will lend the high-sided Rolls a carpet like feel on and off the tarmac. Equal amount of time are allotted for both the tests (on-and-off the road). Firstly, the Cullinan’s road-stability will get tested, followed by the drive on surfaces like Belgian Pave, corrugated concrete, noise development and measurement surfaces, cobblestones, resonance road, acceleration bumps and more to check the new suspensions on duty.
Hence, it must turn interesting to see a luxury carmaker ventures into the segment of SUV. But, no doubt the V12 engine may not make an exception if all the technical gimmicks fall rightly in the place.
Just as we confirmed BMW i8 is added to the list of Dubai Police, we took note of a one more prestigious addition to one of the finest yet richest police fleets of Middle East. It’s the Abu Dhabi that got their hands on a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Colored in burgundy red and white, with golden Spirit of Ecstasy, they say this heavy luxury symbol consisted with a V12 engine will be used for tourism purpose to show the country’s wealth and prosperity to outsiders.
Hence, as far as we believe, Dubai Police and other fleets out there across the world have acquired machines which are fast in clicking number and miles, but this seems to be the only model from a proper luxury-emblem that the Abu Dhabi just added for a unique resemblance. If we aren’t wrong about the said, one can go through the models included in the fleet of Dubai Police, and can name anyone of the true blue luxury car that is not aimed at speed for any of the given reason: Ferrari FF, Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, BMW M6 GranCoupe, Bentley Continental, Lexus RC F, Aston Martin One-77, Bugatti Veyron and a Lamborghini Aventador.
Rolls-Royce’s meaning of Serenity is certainly a one-off Phantom for the Geneva Motor Show. Unveiled this new concept car based on the Phantom Series II, the Phantom features extensive use of silk, bamboo and white arctic leather inside the cabin. But on the outers, it claimed to have used the costliest paint shade ever made by the company, called as Mother of Pearl. Motif is also selected carefully to suit the interiors.
The imported silk of China being used in the cabin can be found only on rear seats, where the front row is covered in Arctic white leather, but the bamboo is used all over wherever it was needed. Some trim even sported the rare smoked cherry wood for creating a better piece of exclusivity. Though, needed not to mention, crimson blossoms had been hand painted on the silk fabric. They even said, boot too features the white Arctic leather that too is used for the floor mats. Members of the Rolls-Royce had spent almost 600 man hours in designing every panel of the car. Just to say about the last excitement about the king-sixe luxury sedan of Rolls-Royce, which too is a one-off piece in the world, sported the motif in the cabin painted by the brush that used squirrel hair.
Hence, none of the reports confirmed of any change under the hoods or its engine specifications. It’s just the company that wanted to give spectators a view how one feels standing before the car that literally belongs to the taste of a super rich monarch or a seriously wealthy businessman redefining the term of luxury once again.
Well, as per to us the Serenity design may appeal more of the wealthy ladies than those gentlemen. Feel free to mention your feedback in the comments section below…
Horses and Rolls-Royce may have a relationship dating back to past many years with regards to the racecourses, where the animal would run and bring glory to the masters, and to show such opulence in public Rolls-Royce cars remained a major factor.
Now, to combine the serene tranquilities of racecourses with the finest motorcar once again, Rolls-Royce introduced Al-Adiyat special edition with the one off example of Phantom Coupe and nine examples of Wraith. The ‘Al-Adiyat’ is being referred to a noise made by horse when its hooves strike the stone in a powerful manner, which leads the sparks flying off it. In the car, red theme is carried throughout, with bonnet comprised of steel and white coachline running across the length for the tradition of company. Inside the cabin, red shade too has taken over the entire bloom of cabin’s aura with the headliner, seats, everything else. On the same pitch, dashboard hits a compliment to entire theme with the dark wood trim. Official words of Rolls-Royce exclaim gold-plated horseshoes impression on treadplates and clock marks the last finishing touches of the car for its the exclusivity alongside the horses marked headrests.
Hence, nothing confirmed by the maker which market such edition will cater to, but referring to the term used for special edition it hints, Middle East once again will be on the target. Though, no changes in the engine bay reported, so those luxuriously finest carriages of the modern times from Rolls-Royce will be drawn by existing engine options of the lineup.
Opulence defines worth of being the wealthiest, and in the segment of textiles silk dominates the rest, where considering that for themselves Rolls-Royce too will unveil a one-off concept at Geneva Motor Show based on the Phantom. However, their official letter confirmed, concept shall be called as ‘Serenity’, ideating a new level over the usage of textiles in a car’s interior. A bespoke design team of Rolls-Royce will take cues from the European furniture and the Royal Japanese Kimono designs.
Detailing more about the concept, official letter of the carmaker commented, its unique design will elaborate different level of craftsmanship and would define the fresh parameters of attention to detail. Additionally, the silk too had a long tooth crusted in the history of imperial powers as well as royals, which once again will be brought before to the world in a new shape at Geneva Motor shown 2015.
Though, no changes shall be expected in the technical aspects.
