If you happen to own a Rs. 5 crore Bentley then taking it to a roadside garage for repair work would seem a little too out of the box. But that’s exactly what someone in Mumbai has done.
Bentley has unveiled its Bentayga V8 petrol model. The car will sit just below the W12 engined model. The new v8 engine is of 4.0-liter capacity and can produce a peak power of 550HP and a peak torque of 770Nm.
Premium carmaker Bentley has unveiled its Bentayga SUV ahead of its global debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Incidentally, this is the first SUV made by Bentley and is production version of the EXP 9 F concept car that it showcased back in 2012.
The Bentley Bentayga uses the same MLB structure that is used by the Volkswagen Touraeg, the upcoming Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7. On the outside, the do come across as somewhat similar to Volkswagen SUVs with design features wheel arch flares and rear overhang. At the front the car has split LED headlights, mesh grille and the Bentley logo. On the sides, chrome outlines can be seen on the windows and on the side skirts. In the back, the car has C-shaped tail lights, a sloping rear screen and a ridge just above the number plate.
On the inside, the premium Bentley theme can be seen all over. The Bentayga interior sees extensive use of chrome on its inside as well. Apart from that wooden dash and fine leather upholstery completes the premium feel. Other features on the inside include a touchscreen infotainment system by Naim, four-zone climate control etc.
All this luxury in the Bentayga is powered by 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine capable of churning out a massive 600bhp of peak power and an even more impressive 900Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic and AWD transmission. It takes the Bentayga just 4 seconds to reach 100kmph from a complete standstill. Top speed of this SUV is 301kmph.
The Bentley Bentayga will hit the international markets early next year. As far as Indian launch of the car is concerned, we expect it to hit the Indian shores sometime by the middle of next year.
Known for their daring, speed and precision, the Breitling Jet Team will perform across Canada and United States in a grand tour of epic proportions. For commemorating this spectacle, the Mulliner division of Bentley re-imagined the Continental GT Speed to mirror the unique look of Breitling Jets, combining extreme personalization with immense speed.
We know the British automaker doesn’t really change their vehicles’ value that often, meaning the limited edition is just adding minimal changes on the Continental GT Speed. The exterior is painted in dual tone split of Onyx and Hallmark with highlights color matched to exact Pantone of Breitling’s unique yellow.
Power for the Bentley Continental GT Speed Breitling cars will come from a W12 6.0 liter twin turbocharged engine, which is good for producing 626 horsepower with 820 newton meters of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in the time range of 4.1 seconds with the top speed of 203 mph. Bentleys’ work on Bentayga SUV seems to end soon. The new set of spy-images had blown off the lid and let us sneak into more details of this expensive SUV. As one can see, the maker has deployed skid plates on front, plastic cladding on sides and roof rails over the top. Other changes that made to the kitty are the tail-gate fixed spoiler and dual-exhaust system.
However, the production specific SUV of Bentley seem taking numerous cues from the concept called EXP 9 F. But the very common exteriors rather make it to stand in line with rivals like Audi A7 and many others. In fact, it is the interiors where British carmaker wish to offer more of the finesse. Sumptuously, the touch-inspired operation controls, leather-wood trims and accents, digital instrument cluster and leather upholstery are some of them to name as of now.
Power delivery will remain with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. Another 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbo TSI will set an example by producing 600bhp and 900Nm of torque. Plug-in hybrid variant of Bentayga is also expected in 2017.

There isn’t a better way to celebrate the victory of the most spectacular race of its time than launching a car’s special edition related to the title, thinks Bentley. For marking the victory of Bentley’s boss Captain Woolf Barnato of 1930 Blue Train race, Bentley has rolled out Mulsanne Speed Blue Train Special Edition ahead of the actual unveiling at Techno Classica.
The flagship of Bentley with this special title is done with new front grille included of square mesh and black alloy wheels replicating the original Speed Six.
It is the interiors where the automaker has focused a lot to upkeep with tag. Open the doors, the door sill will garner the attention with an encryption of ‘Blue Train 85 Years’. The fluting pattern on the door panels also mimics the patter of original work of Barnato’s car.
That’s not all; a hamper is also included for the buyer who buys this car first out of the four limited units across Europe. The pack includes silver plated cutlery from Robbe & Berking, porcelain crockery by Haviland Limoges and crystal champagne flutes from LINLEY. There is also an Angora picnic rug in the bag.
Speaking about it, Richard Charlesworth of Bentley Heritage Collections said, though Mr. Barnato was three time champion of Le Mans, but the Blue Train race has fuelled the aspiration of Bentley Boys and also brought them in the limelight of spectators. Thus, this car elaborates the same sportiness of that era.
At Geneva Motor Show 2015 Bentley had delivered one of its promises out of two by unveiling the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept. Going by its green shade on outers, the sportiness in British tint can be clearly seen. Its headlamps, door handles and front grille are said to be made with ultimate precision and possessed very fine attention to detail.
The cabin replicates identical oomph of Bentley’s luxury. Narrow central console separates the driver’s and co-passenger’s area. Very thin 18.5-inch touchscreen on the console, quilted leather seats, and baggage compartment to house four-specially made bags makes it worth of every drive just thought of, event the long cruises cannot be excluded from its list.
The coyness of carmaker hadn’t allowed anyone to veer into the engine bay and note down the specifications. As there aren’t confirmation of the car to be going into production, so those visiting the Geneva motor show this year shall make a point of visiting the Bentley stand if they wished to get this car into production. After all, the British cat named Jaguar’s F-Type is making enough sales to keep the maker happy, so why don’t another British would do the same.
Bentley’s Bentayga is the ‘hot topic’ doing rounds in talks of niche automotive buyers of Europe, where the company too is eager to deliver them the SUV as soon as possible. For the said, this carmaker from Britain had commenced the extensive testing of its SUV in South Africa. The test mule seen in the image below was snapped in Cape Town. Admittedly, company is hustling the process to unveil the final product of Bentayga at the 2015 North American Auto Show. The source confirmed, there were three test mules with heavy camouflages, where the dual exhaust system was found chromed.
Hence, Bentley Bentayga is the only SUV of its segment, where someone even reported, booking had seen full-house for the first lot of production. Thankfully, if this huge demand wouldn’t have been garnered by its attempt, then entire efforts would have been into vain and may have demoralized the other rivals who are thinking of such a product for their lineup.
Apart from the said, Bentayga is on the spearhead of its maker to be sold at the pace of 3,000 units a year, then the investment made will be leveraged on the set dead line.
Dynasty of the Arab world had always captured attention of expensive carmakers, where the Bentley is one such after Rolls-Royce and others.
Reportedly, to entice the buyers of Middle East, especially the wealthiest of Qatar UAE and KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Bentley Motors unveiled the special edition flagship sedan called ‘Mulsanne Majestic’.
On the ground of exclusivity, ivory white paint shade is flourished through the exteriors with a single saddle line, whereas the Majestic badging and 21-inch (five-spoke) alloy wheels enhances the visual treat further.
The exclusivity is continued inside the cabin with Majestic badges across the room and seats covered in Magnolia leather (contrasted by dark tan leather). Notable fittings include, wood trims, iPads for rear passengers and illuminated sill plates. Even a refrigerator filled of frosted glasses and crystal flutes is given to keep the highly respectable Arabs cool in the scorching heat, behind those black privy curtains.
Under the bonnet, Mulsanne Majestic uses the same 6.75-litre V8 engine to produce that power of 530 horses at a tap.
Hence, the price will be something astonishing to look at for this Bentley, because the comfort of Majesty doesn’t come in line with the commons.
Bentley Grand Convertible concept revealed ahead of Los Angeles Motor Show 2014 is nothing new for the designers. They have chopped off rear doors and roof from the Mulsanne. Instead, they would have called as Mulsanne Convertible for a better recognition.
However, the car is still in the conceptual stage and is on display at the LA Auto Show. It cannot be exactly worked out whether the same may go into production or not. But the Bentley Chief Wolfgang Dürheimer had claimed if the response will be adequate then the car will hit roads in a very limited number just for collector buyers.
As per Bentley, there is enough of styling cues to entice the onlookers and make way for four-adults in the cabin. Listing down the style gimmicks in specific details, starting from exteriors, the sequin blue shade is thwarted throughout the body, except for the windscreen and hoods where they have got the job done with silver liquid metal finish.
Cabin replicates whole new story of Bentley craftsmanship. As the space inside the car is trimmed in 14-naturally tanned leather hides, diamond quilted seats with cross-stitches (by hand) running in sequin blue enhances the treat further. Well, the most significant part is tonneau – flattered in Burr Walnut – featuring the largest piece of wood ever applied to a Bentley car. The parallel lines in chrome steel on the tonneau teethes more sophisticated attire.
After the display at Los Angeles Auto Show 2014, Bentley Grand Convertible will then foray towards Miami for Art Basel, world’s international art-show of modern and contemporary work.
Under the hoods, there lays a 6.75-litre V8 engine of 530bhp and 1100Nm of torque.
