2014 Renault Duster to come with four-wheel drive

French automaker Renault, which revealed its popular SUV Duster last year, is already planning for a facelift. Renault is selling Duster in India along with other global markets. An auto portal from Brazil has already had its hand on the images and launch details of the 2014 Duster. According to the website, the vehicle is scheduled to appear by 2014, so we can also expect a similar SUV in India also. Company is also planning to reveal 4WD version of the Duster to compete with the Ford EcoSport.

The pic suggests that the car has mostly been inspired by the Renault Cross concept that was revealed during the Sao Paulo Motor show last year. The 2014 Duster will be boasting of changes on both exterior and interior, helping it to look more stylish and luxurious. It has got new headlamps, redesigned front grille, front bumper and rear bumper and probably a new tailgate. On the inside it will be incorporating new dashboard and more plush features.

If we give a look to the center touch screen console, it is placed quite lower than the usual, so it is expected that it would be featuring better and easily accessible touch screen panel. It is also expected that Renault might not consider a diesel automatic version this SUV in Indian market.

The appearance of the 4WD version in the current year and a new facelift version next year will certainly help Renault to keep its sales on an upward scale. This is also quite necessary for Renault as it toughest rival Ford EcoSPort is all set to land in Indian market.
