The new Hyundai Santro has been launched in India starting at Rs.3.89 lakhs and going up to Rs.5.64 lakhs for the top most variant. The car has been launched in 9 different variants and will be available in petrol and CNG versions. Design wise, Hyundai chose to keep the older Santro’s tall body design and departing from it at the same time. The new Santro will be available in seven different colour shades – silver, white, grey, beige, blue, red and green.
On the inside, all variants get dual tone black and beige interior. High end variants also get green highlights. Safety equipment include a driver’s side airbag, ABS with EBD and a driver’s seatbelt reminder. Other features include rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, a rear wiper, a 7.0- inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility.
As far as engine options are concerned, the new Santro will be powered by a 1,066cc, four-cylinder,three valves per cylinder motor, which produces 69HP while running on petrol and 59HP while on CNG.
