2018 Porsche 911 Speedster Revealed

The drop top Porsche 911 Speedster concept has been revealed by Porsche at the Goodwood festival. The unveiling marks Porsche’s 70th anniversary. The car is based on the GT3 and uses its naturally aspirated 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine to power itself.

The engine delivers 500HP of peak power and 460Nm of torque. The concept has a six-speed manual gearbox, but the production version may use a six-speed manual or a six-speed PDK gearbox.

It will have a lightweight tonneau cover rather than a typical convertible drop top and extensive use of carbon-fiber means it would have a lightweight body as well.
