The EV6 has been launched at a price of Rs 59.95 Lakhs for the GT Line variant & Rs 64.95 Lakhs for the GT Line AWD variant.

The Kia EV6 will only be offered with a 77.4 kWh battery pack. The model will be offered in two configurations, a rear-wheel-drive single motor drivetrain & an all-wheel-drive with dual motors. The EV6 will develop 229 HP & 350 Nm of torque with the single motor and the AWD dual-motor model produces 325 HP & 605 Nm of torque. The EV 6 is capable of doing 0-100 Km/h in just 5.2 seconds and it comes with an electronically limited top speed of 192 Km/h. The EV6 comes with regenerative braking system, which also allows the driver to drive the EV with just one pedal.

In terms of charging capabilities, the EV6 can be charged with a 50kW charger which can recharge the battery from 10-80% in just 73 minutes & a 350kW fast charger can recharge the same in just 18 minutes. Speaking of the most important aspect of owning an EV; range, the EV6 claims a driving range of 528 Km. These figures are promising for buyers in the premium segment as until now there was no option for a high range luxury EV in India.

The Kia EV6 is built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), and the upcoming EV from Hyundai, the Ioniq 5, will also be sharing this platform.

Considering the premium pricing and drivetrain options, the EV6 is well equipped with features to justify its cost to the buyers. It comes with remote folding seats, ventilated and powered front seats,  a wide electric sunroof, connected LED tail lamps, automatic flush door handles, a smart power tailgate, curved touchscreen navigation & heads-up display. It will also be offered with a premium 14-speaker Meridian surround music system.

The imported spec EV6 receives a 5-Star safety rating from Euro-NCAP, along with 8-airbags and a host of autonomous driving features like lane keep assist, brake assist, adaptive cruise control, a blind spot monitor, high beam assist, & a few others.

The EV6 is available in five colors including Moonscape, Snow White Pearl, Runway Red, Aurora Black Pearl, and Yacht Blue.

The EV6 is only available in 12 cities as of now, as only 100 units are being imported in the first phase. The EV6 will rival the upcoming EV vehicles like the Volvo XC40 Recharge & the Hyundai Ioniq 5.
