Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd announced the start of Mahindra Auto Quotient (AQ) – a first of its kind national level quiz. The city round for the quiz is scheduled to start from 3rd of September across 24 cities.
Mahindra AQ has been attracting lot of auto enthusiasts from the engineering and management streams for the past 4 years. During the time, it has become one of India’s largest automotive quiz where students showcased their passion and lust for automobiles.
Chief People Officer, Automotive and Farm equipment Sectors, Mr. Rajesh Tripathi said that the quiz was start with an aim to provide young auto enthusiasts a platform to build, share and discuss their knowledge about the automobiles. He also added that it was quite impressive to see the growing popularity of the Mahindra Auto Quotient over the years. He also hoped that this will teach and nurture young talents to consider automobile as an interesting career option.
Noted journalist Mr. Siddharth Vinayak Patankar, Senior Anchor NDTV will be conducting the quiz for both the regional finals and Grand National finals to be held in October.
AQ is a part of Mahindra & Mahindra endeavor to supplement and promote young minds across the engineering and B-schools with a passion about automobiles. The inaugural edition i.e. AQ 2009 received an enthusiastic response from the engineering students across the country. Next year Mahindra moved a step ahead to include auto lovers from B-schools also. The regional finale and National Grand Final that was aired on NDTV 24×7 last year saw a viewership of about 20 lacs, bagging the prestigious award for best quiz in 2010.
The winners of the Grand Finale will be receiving and all paid trip to largest auto show in the world i.e. Geneve International Auto Show. The first runner up will be getting an all paid trip to Qatar MotoGP Race and an opportunity to meet Mahindra Racing team. The 2nd and 3rd runner up will get the opportunity to participate in the Mahindra Auto Quotient Great Escape, one of the most awaited off-roading events in the country. Not only this participants will also get a chance to win goodies and prizes worth Rs. 6,50,000. Apart from the quiz and prizes there is also a chance for the student to work with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
