Aston Martin Recalls 689 2012-2013 Models

Recall doesn’t seem exception to any of the carmaker in industry. Even niches are not spared from this sort of PR activity. However, this time it is the turn of Aston Martin to get back at the roost and call owners of 689 cars that were produced in between 2012 and 2013. This recall of Aston Martin is said to be carried for the replacement of faulty throttle arms. It is a manufacturing fault, so the British carmaker will replace the whole pedal assembly at free of cost.

“If the throttle pedal arm breaks, the engine will return to idle and the driver will be unable to maintain or increase engine speed, increasing the risk of a crash,” announced National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The 689 models that fall in between the bespoken ‘recall’ criteria are said to be of the following badges:

  • Aston Martin DB9
  • Rapide
  • Virage
  • V8 Vantage
  • V12 Vantage

Specifically the models which were produced in between May 2012 and April 2013 are the actual affected metals. Carmaker says, it will notify the owners and dealers and would carry out the further processes as soon as possible.

However, if one of the affected Aston owners may not received a call, then he can take his righteous efforts to dial the official number 1-888-923-9988 of British automaker at an utmost priority.
