Tata Launches India’s first Sub-Compact SUV-The Punch

The Punch gets a 7’’ touch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, automatic climate control and the cruise control.

With a 5-star protection rating, it assures to be the safest car in its segment. Along with a strong body shell, the Punch also hosts a lot of safety features like ABS, EBD Corner Control, Dual Airbags & an all new Brake Sway Control. 

The Punch is only offered with one powertrain option, a 1.2L Naturally Aspirated  Revotron engine producing 86 HP & 114 Nm of torque. This engine comes with both a manual and an automatic transmission. The Punch offers a fuel efficiency of 18.97 KM/L in the manual & 18.82 KM/L in the automatic variant. 

Tata Motors have started delivering the Tata Punch, so you can now book and avail the Tata Punch, through your nearest dealership.


Audi India opens bookings for the upcoming 2021 Audi Q5

Audi India opens booking for the upcoming 2021 Q5. Audi plans to launch the Q5 in November next month. The upcoming Q5 can be booked either online or at your nearest dealership with a booking amount of Rs 2 lakh.

To follow the BS-6 norms, the upcoming Q5 went through a heart transplant and is reborn with a 2.0L TFSI petrol engine producing 245 HP & 370 Nm of torque. This is the same engine that  powers the ongoing Audi A6. 

Being an Audi SUV, the Q5 will get the acclaimed Quattro drivetrain with the petrol engine. Audi has not announced any plans of launching the Q5 with its  torqu-ey TDI diesel engine. So on the upside, the Q5 with it’s Quattro and Drive Select feature, will offer an impressive AWD experience on the road.

The 2021 Q5 is refreshed with new redesigned bumpers and 19” S-Line wheels. The Q5 comes with attractive new features like, Audi Park Assist, Comfort Key with sensor controlled boot operation, Wireless Mobile Charging, Virtual Cockpit and a Bang & Olufsen Premium 3D Sound System. The 10.1” touch MMI infotainment system will be integrated with navigation & Audi smartphone interface offering connected car tech. 

The German build quality and safety comes assuring with the Q5 getting 8 Airbags around the cabin, to enhance the safety of all the passengers.

The 2021 Q5 will be offered in two variants,  Premium Plus & Technology Pack

The Q5 is expected to launch at an ex- showroom price of Rs 55 Lakh.


MG Motor India announced the subscription model for its recently launched SUV, MG Astor.

MG Motor India  announced the subscription model called MG Subscribe, for its recently launched SUV- the Astor. MG had announced the subscription model earlier in August for the Hector & the ZS EV.

The subscription model offers a hassle free driving experience, as the user does not have to worry about the maintenance or depreciation of the vehicle and that’s not it, the subscription model also offers more benefits like, Zero Down Payment,  Zero Insurance Liability, Tax Savings and a Flexible Tenure. 

The subscription model also offers a unique feature of Share & Save, where you can share your car with other subscribers when not in use and save upto 70% of the monthly subscription costs.

The subscription model is only available in New Delhi, Bangalore & Mumbai as of now. 

MG says they have been working on the subscription model due to the changing requirements of new age buyers. MG Motor India will add more services to its subscription model in the future to create a more personalized, safer, and smarter driving experience for its buyers.


Mahindra XUV 700 clocks 65000 Bookings in Two Weeks; Deliveries for Petrol variant to begin from 30th October

The XUV 700 has clocked 65000 bookings in just two weeks since its commencement on 7th October. The XUV 700 is the first car in our auto industry to receive such high volumes of booking in such a short span of time. 

The delivery for the petrol XUV 700 will begin from 30th October and the diesel variants will be delivered later, in the last week of November. 

Earlier this month, the XUV 700 also broke the National 24 hour Endurance Record at the Mahindra SUV Proving track at Chennai. Four XUV 700 clocked more than 4000kms with an average speed of 170-180 Km/h. The event was organised by EVO India, under the supervision of FMSCI and India Book of Records. 

The XUV 700 also becomes the first Made-in-India SUV to drive to the highest motorable road in India, at Umling La in the Ladakh region. This drive was in collaboration between Mahindra & two automotive media houses- CarandBike & Auto Today.

MG Astor gets sold out for the year 2021

MG Motor India had commenced the bookings for their latest launch-The Astor, on 21st of October and within a few minutes the Astor was sold out for this year.

The deliveries for the Astor will begin on the 1st of November next month and the brand is aiming to deliver 5000 units this year. 

MG says they have been facing production challenges due to the global chip shortage in the automotive industry. However, they expect the supply chain to get better by the first quarter of 2022.

With all units sold out for this year, MG has already started taking bookings for next year. So you can now book your Astor through your nearest dealership or online at MG’s website.


Mercedes-Benz India implements a centralised direct customer sales model

Mercedes-Benz India has implemented a new business model- “Retail of the future”, which emphasizes direct customer sales.

With the implementation of this new business model, customers will no longer have to pay any incidental charges to the dealership. What are incidental charges, you may ask ? 

Charges that are paid to the dealership in the form of logistical or registration handling charges are called incidental charges. So, now with a centralised structure, customers would not have to pay any incidental charges.

Under this new business model, Mercedes-Benz will sell the cars directly to the customers and will nationally set the ‘ best price’ for their models. The customers will have a higher stock visibility and choice with centralized national stock of their cars. Offering a complete transparent purchasing experience, Mercedes-Benz will also allot the VIN number right after the confirmation of a booking. 

Mercedes-Benz has already received more than 1700 bookings for different models under the Beta testing phase of this business model.
