Autocar performance show 2011 covered by IndianDrives

BKC Auto Show is back. In recent years, you might have seen plenty of mean and mighty machines such as Porsches, Lamborghinis, Renault F1, Ferraris and JCB Dieselmax. This particular show represents even more powerful, extravagant and audacious vehicles. The Auto Show has become like a yearly pilgrimage for petrolheads across India. You won’t find sensible cars in this show that offer fuel economy or how clean exhausts from tailpipes are. It is committed to performance. You might have seen these jaw-dropping and eye-catching cars in Hollywood movies, posters or in coffee-table books, and also in original Autocar Performance Shows. But, still they are assured to provide dramatic styling and ergonomic design.

You will find plenty of cars designed by Italian designers called Monica Bellucci and Sophia Loren. One great thing about BKC Auto Show is that it is not about wondering about splendid cars. You can also make your dream garage come true. The works, bolt on exhausts, ECU tuning, air filters, modded camshaft heads, spoilers, custom suspension, sport seats and NOS kits. These vehicles come equipped with all high tech features from driving aids to entertainment systems to cosmetic redesigns. This Show is not just about motorcycles and cars or camshafts, engines and horsepower. It is all about high torque party.

You will find numerous models in BKC Auto Show; these include Audi R8 Spyder, an intriguing choice for exotic sportscar, which is easy to drive and offers  a comfortable interior, powerful engine choices and slick manual shifter. The Jaguar XKR-S offers comfort and luxury expected from the revolutionary brand, as well as decent value and exhilarating performance. One look at Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, a luxury sportscar from performance focused AMG division of Mercedes and resemblance to the marque’s iconic mid 1950s era 300SL Coupe is unmistakable. The Chevrolet Cruze WTCC car was also found in this particular show powered by inline four-cylinder turbocharged 1.6 liter engine that generates 310 horsepower at 5500 rpm with 400 newton meters of torque at 3750 rpm.

James Bond’s Aston Martin Rapide was also found in BKC Auto Show. It offers seductive styling, highly customizable, agile handling, beautifully designed interior and V12 power. One of the jaw-dropping and astonishing cars was BMW M3 Frozen Black Edition that featured GTS black wheels, gloss black exterior trim elements, red brake calipers and burly 4.4 liter 414 horsepower V8 engine teamed up with M Double Clutch Transmission of BMW. One of the premium luxury cars, Rolls Royce Ghost was also spotted in this Show, an automobile with luxury and presence of Phantom, but with more acquisition cost and manageable size.

There were plethora of cars and motorcycles found in BKC Auto Show, including Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Nissan Micra, BMW 730ld, BMW bikes, Skoda Fabia, Renault Fluence, BMW 650i, Audi Q7, Nissan Sunny, Audi RS 5, BMW M3, Renault Pulse, Jaguar XKR Coupe, Jaguar XF 3.0L Diesel, Renault Koleos, Skoda Laura RS, Nissan 370Z, BMW x1 Sdrive20d, Skoda Laura, Land Rover Range Rover, Skoda Rapid and Nissan Teana, along with ATV ride & Mahindra Off road drive Track.

The BKC Auto Show is basically a platform for automobile manufacturing companies to introduce quite a few impending cars to real aficionado. It will be held at MMRDA Grounds of Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai from 17th to 19th of November.
