Bentley Unveils Continental GT Speed

Bentley made use of the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed to roll out the novel Continental GT Speed – the highest production car the elite luxury car manufacturer ever fabricated.

Serving up a buried needle of 205 miles per hour, the GT Speed is unquestionably a purposeful attempt to grow the Bentley brand beyond the top of the luxury food chain to a high perch in the performance car planet.

The novel 205 mph (329 km/h) GT Speed will attract driving buffs,who lay a high value on complete performance, smooth handling, unique design and super luxury.

The company is accepting orders for its new GT Speed, with deliveries to begin by October this year.

Bentley Unveils Continental GT Speed

At the core of the new Continental GT Speed is an upgraded edition of the matchless Bentley 6-litre, 48-valve, four-cam, double turbocharged W12 engine.

For the fresh model, the well-known Bentley W12 extends 625 PS (616 bhp/460 kW) at 6000 rev/min and 800 Nm of torsion to bringroaring, supercar recital with easy overtaking potentiality.

The novel Speed’s vast power is channeledthrough a close-proportion, ZF eight-speed automatic transmission system. This high-tech transmission delivers speedy yet imperceptible gear alterationsviaquick adaptive control software to make sure the idealmixture of speed and alteration.

The novel gearbox also makes a noteworthy contribution to an overall 12%betterment in fuel saving and carbon dioxide emissions.

The improved chassis is equilibrated by exclusive 21-inch Speed wheels, obtainable in two glossy finishes, and equipped with 275 35 R21 Pirelli PZero ultra-high performance tyres.

While talking over the new GT Speed, Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley’s Chairman and Chief Executive said, “For nearly a decade, the Bentley Continental GT has defined high luxury, high performance grand touring and the unique W12 engine has been so successful that Bentley is now the world’s largest producer of 12-cylinder engines. The new GT Speed with its harder-edged, sportier character reaffirms this pinnacle positioning and continues to broaden the worldwide appeal of the Continental coupe.”

The brawny, stylishsculptured coachwork of the Continental coupe is delicatelyimproved with design touches thatstrengthen the sporting spirit of the new model. Most prominent are the dark-tinted matrix front grille and lower air inhalations and the ‘rifled’ finish to the tire out tailpipes.
