BMW’s offensiveness in India across the niche segment is about to begin for the 2015. The maker has said to launch the facelift of 6-Series Gran Coupe on May 29, 2015.

6-Series Gran Coupe already exists in the country, but a facelift will make it to stand in line more aggressively against the likes of Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7.

In the facelift avatar, the freshest Gran Coupe adopts a new signature front grille, LED multibeam lights as standard and revised bumper (front and rear both) along with the newly designed alloy wheels. Following are the four colours which the new 6-Series in India will soon after the launch:

  • Mediterranean Blue
  • Glacier Silver
  • Melbourne Red
  • Cashmere Silver

Moving inside the cabin, the two-tone upholstery and Head-up display are the only tricks freshly deployed, except the rest remains identical as of the present model.

Hence, talking about the engine bay, India-spec available in the trim of 640d will set the pulse racing 3.0-litre, in-line, 6-cylinder diesel engine of 313bhp max power and 630Nm of peak torque mated to a eight-speed auto transmission. The said can reach the top-speed of 0-100km/h in just 5.4 seconds and can drive the adrenaline-filled excitement up to the limit of 250km/h.

Hence, that was all to say about this new bud of BMW in the coupe body-style for India. Must admit, the carmakers in India aren’t wasting much time to launch the models after their international debut. This car is a one fine example.
