BMW now seems inching closer to the already heated-up competition of compact SUV as launched facelift X1 in India at Rs 27.90 lakh. It is made available in three trims i.e. sDrive20d, sDrive20d Sport Line and sDrive20d xLine.
Pricing are as follows:
- 2013 BMW X1 sDrive20d – Rs 27.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
- 2013 BMW X1 sDrive20d Sport Line – Rs 32.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
- 2013 BMW X1 sDrive20d xLine – Rs 32.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)
Overall prices are premium than its predecessors, as it was already confirmed by this automaker with respect to deliver more quality in terms of money and brand image.
BMW Facelift X1 is remarkably different on the exterior front than the outgoing model, as seen sporting brand new bumpers, refreshed front and rear air diffusers, new LED retina and headlamps, new ORVMs with embedded side indicators, and supportively more stubborn kidney grilles.
However, under the bonnet it carries same 2.0 liter diesel jag, which is tweaked a bit enough to produce 184 PS of power with 380 Nm of torque unlikely to the previous figures of 177 PS and 350 Nm.
As of now, no petrol version is available in the BMW Facelift X1 fleet for chasing its closest rival Audi Q3 Petrol which just made a silent debut. Taking on the competition, recently launched new Honda CR-V will also fall under its jaws along with the most awaited Volvo’s V40, as slated to launch somewhere around the next month.
