‘Chevrolet Captiva facelift in India’, sounds like a boon to us. Though not any of the fanfare created, Chevrolet India had ‘silently’ slipped in the facelift of its SUV on our shores. The American carmaker is even such busy with other of the sort, forgot to mention its price even.

Need not to be annoyed, it is the website of GM India which now includes Captiva in its repertoire, but very importantly they hadn’t mentioned prices yet. We hope some of further official inclination may come from the bay of carmaker, but till the time it happens the posting is tormenting us a lot.

Already launched a facelift to its SUV some days back, it is again the bowtie carmaker felt the need to roll out the refresh version of it in the market to make the competition heated as soon as possible.

Terming the peculiarities, the facelift of Captiva which was debuted at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the same is going to face the Indian roads too. Different front grille mesh, distinctly structured fog lamps, lowered down front bumpers are some of the changes that the American SUV had received during the course of time. Rear changes are the most recognizable one. LED tail lights, redesigned bumpers inclusive of exhaust tips, and refreshed set of 18” alloys makes it to look hotter than before.

For interiors, new seat fabric, redesigned multimedia screen, leather upholstery and Keyless start on the higher variants, are some of the bets to trick the customer of new generations. Heating for the rear seat and the revision of ambient lighting had also been looked upon deeply.

Technicalities got something new sort to say. 2.2L diesel engine which was debuted at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo will make to its engine-bay as well. The 6-speed manual transmission will also be its part, and an automatic was already there accompanying it since the debuted platform. Hopefully the only-2WD manual is said to clock the 14.6kpl in return whereas the automatically operated 4WD to make it to the 12.12kpl for the best. Previous one i.e. 2.0L engine will be discontinued when new one will make way to us.
