Chevrolet Sail Hatchback – New Diesel variant soon in market at Rs.5.29 lakhs

General Motors India has introduced the new base diesel variant at a price of Rs.5.29 lakhs (ex-showroom price Delhi) just some days after it reduced the price of its all new Sail U-Va hatchback. Though the company has not confirmed this yet, the company’s official website is uploaded with all the relevant information on the new variant.

Seeing the growing demand of diesel cars in the domestic market (India) standing along to the segment leader Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Sail U-VA could not turn heads as expected it would on its launch.

Chevrolet is priced much less as compared to the entry level diesel variant of Swift. The Swift was launched at a introductory price of Rs 4.44 lakhs, now brought down to 4.19 lakhs this month, which looks the company’s desire is to make it affordable for all.

In terms of features, the diesel variant is very much similar to the petrol variant, so features like the EDB, ABI, Audio System, Airbags, remote boot opener, electric adjusting ORVM won’t be there but tilt adjusting steering wheel, manually operating air-conditioner and fabric seats will make it a decent buy.

As per reports, “The base petrol option has bare vital characteristics. It has a manually-operated ac, fabric seating areas, tilt modifiable steering wheel, remote boot opener, front power windows and electrically adaptable OVRMs. On the outer side, the vehicle obtains steel wheels and body tinted bumpers. These are likely to be standard of the diesel edition in addition. The ARAI attested fuel competence has been pegged at 22.1 kilo meter per liter (kmpl), but in actual world conditions; this is likely to drop by around 2 kilo meter per liter (kmpl).”

“The Sail U-VA sale figures have declined in a drastic manner within few months of its introduction. The new option must assist them recovered their sale facts, considering the reality that it is catered by a very identical engine, which is utilized in the Swift and also has bettered leg-room,” the report added up.

This is really a positive news for car buffs who are planning to buy this exciting and thrilling vehicle.
