Chevrolet unveils Chevrolet Spin’s official photos

Chevrolet Spin is one MPV that any car enthusiast will love to see in India, although General Motors has yet not revealed any plans to bring this vehicle to Indian Market. The Spin will surely make its way into the segment currently dominated by Toyota Innova and Maruti Ertiga.

The Spin is a five-seater MPV that looks more like car than its brothers like Tavera or Enjoy which are scheduled for launch this year. The Spin has just been revealed for the Brazilian market. The vehicle is mainly aimed at developing countries and as we look through the success stories of Xylo, Innova and Ertiga there could still be room for another MPV to have their chunk of pie from the market.

Looks

Exteriors
The sides of the Spin have been embraced with few curves, which make it more appealing than the boxy Tavera or even Enjoy. The third row is embedded with a fixed quarter glass like Ertiga. The rear is, however, little too straight, although GM has put some curves in the boot lid and tried to wrap tail lamps around the guards.

The MPV is a seven seater with the last row in the place, thus offers no luggage space. However, it has the option to fold third row to get some extra space. The second row seats can also be folded to get some more space incase if required.

The dashboard looks quite cool with a digital speedometer and tachometer. The controls are simple and basic.

Engine

Spin is speculated to be powered by a 1.8 liter petrol engine that will harvest about 130 bhp of power but it is not sure if the engine will be making it to Indian markets. Instead it may use Enjoy’s 1.4 liter engine when launched in Indian market.

The MPV is expected to be priced around Rs. 7 to 9 lakhs to compete with the Maruti Ertiga and Mahindra Xylo.
