To ward off decline in sales due to soaring prices of petrol, Hyundai India (HMIL) has announced the launch CNG versions of its Santro, i10 and Accent.

The CNG kit, which will be installed at the Hyundai dealer level, will cost buyers additionally Rs 56,000. The CNG versions are not only more economical options for buyers but also more eco-friendly.

Announcing the launch of CNG models, HMIL Zonal Manager-South Y.S. Lee said, “CNG has established itself as an eco-friendly and economical fuel alternative. HMIL will now offer this choice of fuel to its Santro, i10 and Accent customers.”

Prospective buyers of the Hyundai three popular cars can specify their petrol cars to be fitted with the CNG kit at the time of purchase, for which they will have to fork out Rs 56,000. Existing owners of the less than a year old i10, Santro Xing and Accent can get their cars converted into CNG cars by getting the CNG kit fitted onto their cars without losing the factory warranty from the manufacturer.
