Price was the only point where Datsun was in the league to prove a point in the market. Reportedly, it launched the GO Plus MPV in India for a price of Rs 3.79 lakh ex-showroom Delhi.

Posed as a wholly new product if perceived from the angle of makers, as its rear is worked very nicely and doesn’t look slapped over the hatchback GO, despite the same platform being used. Don’t be amazed by its seven-passenger capacity. The third row seats are meant only for children of small ages, which gets better when folded down or removed to store tonnes of cargo. Even the second row is foldable to store as much as possible. Partially, its attitude felt to be of an estate car, whereas the design is chosen of a MPV. In fact, the whole product can be said of a new genre drawn keeping in mind the Indian audience and their characteristics.

Referring to the engine details, the power is sent by 1198cc, inline 3-cylinder, DOHC petrol engine which produces 68PS @ 5000rpm and peak torque of 104Nm @ 4000rpm. A five-speed manual gearbox takes care of the rest. The short turning radius makes it maneuverable in the cornering roads of our cities. However, suspension setting is stiffened than that of GO to hold back the additional weight.

On the name of safety, nothing is provided to GO Plus except the seat belts, which too are manually adjustable. Thankfully, the braking isn’t compromised either. Ventilated discs on front and drum at rear make it to bite right when needed the most.

Datsun launched four trims of GO Plus: D, D1, A and T. As per to us, the top-end is a perfect buy for those looking towards buying it: as equipped with power-steering and all-power windows.

Mentioned below is the price list of Datsun GO Plus, where don’t get amazed by the numbers as they are accrued to such a low extent due to the length of car that falls under 4-metres. Such temptation graced it to be saved from the higher of slab of taxation for cars measuring more than the aforesaid length.
