Fiat is a leading car manufacturer in the Indian car market with a range of cars running on Indian roads. The car manufacturer is now set to roll out an exclusive compact crossover Fiat 500X designed on the platform of 500 hatchback.

The side profile of the car was unveiled during the launch ceremony of the 500L MPV in Italy. That was just a spurt of moment but the car created a sensation. The curtain was closed immediately giving a fair idea to the public about its design and appeal. It is a four-door vehicle with a little black body cladding.

The car is expected to come both in diesel and petrol variants with a 1.3-litre multijet and 900cc Multiair and a 1.4-litre turbo respectively. After the launch, the car will first be launched in the American and the European markets. However, with the increasing demand of compact SUVs in the Indian car market, Fiat 500X is sure to hit Indian shores at a later stage.

In the Indian market, the upcoming 500X is to compete with the recently launched Renault Duster and the upcoming Ford EcoSport and Chevrolet Trax. Rest would be clear only once the car is out and we can see the same running elegantly on Indian roads.
