‘Great Campaign’ event supported by Rolls-Royce Motors Cars for British Business in New Delhi

The British government has designed and developed the ‘Great Campaign‘ to encourage the deliverance of the long-term financial benefits coming from the exceptional level of interest accomplished by the forthcoming event of London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This campaign is mainly developed on behalf of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, by the Department of Culture, Media and Sports (DCMS) working in collaboration with UK Trade & Investment, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, British Council, Visit Britain and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. This campaign gives an opportunity to the whole globe to uncover all that UK has to offer, in terms of being one of the great places to visit, work, business, investment and live.

Rolls-Royce, a very prominent dominant and iconic car manufacturer of the world, which also happens to be a British company, came in support of the ‘Great Campaign‘ event organized by the British High Commissioner in India, Mr. James Bevan CMG in New Delhi. Over 300 Indian and British VIPs and over 30 firms were present in this grand event. But the center-stage was taken over by the Rolls-Royce Ghost showing off the British excellence in luxury cars segment of the automobile industry worldwide.

Mr. James Bevan CMG reciprocated what David Cameron, the Prime Minister of UK, said last year while launching the campaign that this particular campaign is to spread the message very proudly and clearly that UK is a magnificent place to visit, to study, to invest, to do business and many other things. Mr. James also praised Rolls-Royce Motors involvement in showcasing the perfection and excellence in its trade of manufacturing cars,which are examples reflecting the British business prowess, design and craftsmanship in India and worldwide.

Regional Director, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Asia-Pacific, Mr. Paul Harris said that demand of super-luxury cars in the Asia-Pacific region particularly in India has forced them to expand their manufacturing facility in Goodwood, England. It has also created skilled jobs at high capacity for Bespoke craftsmen to meet the demand. Recent expansion in terms of dealerships in Chandigarh and Hyderabad has added to the already established bases of Mumbai and New Delhi. For the marquee, India has become the second spiritual home. The Delhi reception by British High Commissioner has become the part of the UK Trade & Investment’s effort to directly increase the business of UK by 1 Billion GBP and receive the benefit of the attention of the people from the 2012 Olympics and Diamond Jubilee.
