Honda’s dream of SUV for India has started taking the shape. Though, we had seen a concept of the same at Delhi Auto Expo 2014 but nothing concrete since thendelivered. Now, a source claimed this mini SUV specially designed for India will have seven-seats.
To clear the disturbing thoughts of many who cite Honda too can bring the Vezel to this country available in international markets. Working on its cost, the costing is apparently discouraging the Japanese carmaker to do so.
However, this exciting news of seven-seat options broke when Honda traveled dealers of India to its R&D facility in Japan to show how this compact SUV is actually in real world. There, the maker also refined the fact this vehicle will have seven-seat option and will rival the Renault Duster and Mahindra XUV500.
Although, it was just expected, the car will share its base with Mobilio, means it could pin that same of Brio. The upcoming SUV may see the raised height, SUV wheels, skid plates, plastic cladding and other such features of the segment. The cabin too will reflect plush tricks and treats.
Hence, as based on the Mobilio, the company may not dare to bring the displacement above than the 1.5-litre to keep the cost in check, which means those petrol and diesel engine of City and Amaze may make their way here. It may turn out the chance for Delhi Auto Expo 2016 to rip off the Honda compact SUV from the suspicion.
