Honda Targets 50,000 Amaze For This Fiscal

Honda Amaze is really taking on everyone by storm in its segment, and to prove the game plot meaner than others Honda had clipped target of 50,000 units to be sold in this fiscal. Claiming a 25.8kmpl ticker of fuel efficiency from its 1.5L i-DTEC, the most awaited and a first diesel engine from Japanese automaker in India is sufficient enough to churn out massive 100PS and 200 NM of torque underneath the hoods.

Commenting on this fragmentation, Senior Vice-President (Sales & Marketing) Jnaneswar Sen said,”Our current plan is to make 4,000-5,000 cars (Amaze) a month. Our capacity is 1.2 lakh units which include all our models. What’s available for this model is 4,000-5,000 units a month,”

Honda Targets 50000 Amaze For This Fiscal

On exclusivity for India, Honda had planned to pump in additional investment of Rs 2,500 here for doubling up the production capacity up to 2.4 lakh units by end of next financial year, which now is restricted only to 1.2 lakh units a year being accumulated by 4,000-5,000 Amaze per month. It is also expected that more than 60% bookings of Amaze may come from Tier-II and Tier-III cities, as slated may soon take on the conventional rural king Maruti in just a flick.
