Honda is all set to launch its WR-V SUV in India on 16th of March. The WR-V is Honda’s newest crossover and once launched, it will lock horns with the likes of Hyundai i20 Active and Maruti Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.
The WR-V is Honda’s second crossover after the Jazz and it differs vastly from the Jazz in terms of design. It has a more aggressive look compared to the Jazz and comes with design features like higher ground clearance, robust body cladding, larger rims, bolder grille garnished with chrome and roof rails.
On the inside, the car has an all black layout contrasted by silver trim on the dashboard as well as the door cards. The model spied featured Honda’s new 7-inch DIGIPAD infotainment system, which debuted in the 2017 Honda City. As far as engines are concerned, the WR-V is likely to come with a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5L i-DTEC turbo diesel engine. The petrol variant will come equipped with a 5-speed manual or CVT, while the diesel WR-V will get a 6-speed manual gearbox.
