The Paris Motor Show is just round the corner and Hyundai is now all set to showcase the latest variant of i-series. Hyundai i20 WRC will make its first appearance at Paris Motor Show which starts from 27th September, 2012. The European unit of Hyundai based in Offenbach, Germany will be taking control over the development and promotion of the car.

Since WRC is attached to the name of the car, thus we can expect it to be heavily tuned as per the requirements of rally cars. The WRC days of Hyundai go well back to the 21st century beginning when the company took its first step in this field in the period of 2000-03. But as they say, an arena is more entertaining with two bulls instead of one, thus Hyundai i20 WRC will be locking horns with Volkswagen Polo-R. There are a lot of rumours surrounding the release of the car and the primary suspense is maintained regarding the ergonomics of the car. Hyundai has chosen to remain tight-lipped till Paris Motor Show, 2012.

On the contrary, there are rumors that i20 WRC will be having a turbocharged petrol engine capable of churning out maximum power of 200 horse power. The handling part of the car has been taken into prime consideration since a rally car demands much more than what a normal car does. Very few pictures of the car have been released by far as Hyundai aspires to give a grand opening to their car. Further more, the company wishes to start working on other WRC variants of its i-series cars adding to which they can make their presence felt in the WRC circuit.

Thus, Hyundai is optimistic when it comes to commenting on the response that they are anticipating for Hyundai i20 WRC.
