Hyundai had everything to offer in India over the masses, but a compact SUV is what the automaker is lacking since days. That seems to not remain a complaint anymore for the Hyundai fans. As reported, the Korean carmaker is bound to launch a compact ‘ix25’, which debuted at various international pockets this year, soon making its way to India by 2016.
Confirmed by the source, along with it, company had also said of rolling out another SUV which in sense will be ‘Elite i20 Cross’, and a 7-seater MPV like Toyota Innova.
None of them will be placed below Rs 9-10 lakh, said the source.
Talking about the MPV, it was confined of being based on the monocoque body type with front-wheel drive mated to the options of petrol and diesel engine both.
The ix25 will be competing Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Mahidnra Scorpio and to an extent Ford EcoSport as well in the repertoire.
Taking from its past, Hyundai had always kept the pricing competitive in the market, which means to see 90% of the localization this time.
