Hyundai has started accepting the bookings of compact SUV Creta for the Indian market. Perspective buyers can draw a check of any amount between Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000 to book his own. Creta for Hyundai will rival the likes of Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and others who are of the slight premium category.

On outer, Creta’s body is covered with cladding, scuff plates, family hexagonal front grille, LED elements inside projector headlamps cluster and the tail lamp units. One can resemble exteriors of Creta to the current design language of Hyundai. In addition, the ground clearance of 200mm is well-supported by 17- or 18-inch wheels.

Moving on inside, there is a dual tone dashboard with silver inserts and chunky controls. Top-end buyers may get to enjoy a touchscreen infotainment system.

However, as of now, the maker is eyeing to catch the most of market share with the 1.6L diesel which sends out the max power of 126bhp, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The automatic gearbox may follow the suit at a later stage. A 1.6L petrol is kept in the pipeline for the further period.

Hence, Maruti shall play safe with their upcoming launch of S-Cross which too is not at a far distance.
