Hyundai Elantra Fluidic to be launched on 13th August

Hyundai Elantra Fluidic is all set now to enter into the Indian car market. The South Korean automaker’s car is to be launched in New Delhi on 13th August 2012. The car has been doing pretty well in the global market since quite some time. In fact, the unparalleled performance by the new and refreshed Hyundai Elantra model has brought in acclamation for the company as well. India, being a potent automobile market will not be kept barred of such a wonderful sedan.

The company opened up the booking for the upcoming car last week with a booking amount of 25,000 INR. The car will be made available in petrol and diesel variants in India too. The trim levels under the petrol avatar include VTVT S (base model), VTVT SX (mid-level variant) and VTVT SX with Options Pack (top end variant).

As far as the trim levels of diesel variant are concerned, it too will include a base, a mid-level and a top end variant. The respective trim levels are named CRDi 1.6, CRDi S and SX, and CRDi SX with Options Pack.

Under the hood, the petrol engine will be featuring a 1.8L engine with direct injection with variable valve timing technology. The engine is capable of delivering a power of 150PS and a torque of 181Nm. On the other hand the diesel variant will feature a 1.6L turbocharged powerhouse that can produce a peak power of 128PS and a maximum torque of 260Nm.

The carmaker didn’t seem to miss any chance to promote the sedan’s entry into the market as the company ahs recently been witnessed with subtly aggressive marketing strategies. As of now, the marketing strategies that the company has already opted for include teaser micro-site, extensive reviews, pre-launch commercial and road tests. As per anticipations, the sedan would be launched with the basic price tag laying somewhere around Rs 13 lakh.
